Description
CDPD is a packet data protocol that leverages the AMPS infrastructure,
transmitting short burst of data across idle frequency on the AMPS network
using TCP/IP base protocols. CDPD uses existing cellular antennas
and cell site equipment. This network is slowly being phased out.
