Do I need to pay any additional monthly wireless
service charges?
There are no additional monthly service charges associated with the
MobiVoice device.
How much weight does MobiVoice add to my BlackBerry?
MobiVoice weighs less than 2.5 ounces or less than one fifth of a pound
(0.15 lbs).
Do I need a PC? What specifications?
You do need a PC to load the software. An installation disk is provided
with MobiVoice, which will guide you through the process of setting up
MobiVoice on your BlackBerry handheld.
What are the requirements for the PC?
The installation supports Windows 95 through XP. You also need to have the
RIM Desktop Software installed on your PC. Macs are not currently
supported.
What size is the headset jack? Can I use a regular
headset?
MobiVoice comes with a regular headset. User can also use a regular cell
phone headset.
What is the effect of MobiVoice on the battery life?
Usage of MobiVoice has very little effect on the battery life. For example
playing the radio for an average of 30 minutes per day, results in
draining the battery in 26 days. Thus reduction in battery life is very
minimal.
How does MobiVoice compare with a high-end voice
recorder?
MobiVoice provides toll quality voice compression, as offered by high-end
voice recorders.
How many minutes of voice can I store on my
BlackBerry?
BlackBerry can store up to 300 minutes (5 hours) of voice, recorded using
MobiVoice, along with other applications and stored data. MobiVoice
can store close to 500 minutes (8 hours) of recorded voice, if there is no
additional data that needs to be stored on the BlackBerry.
What are the voice compression modes?
MobiVoice supports three different voice compression schemes, allowing
user better control of the speech playback quality. Mode SP

What are my recipient's choices for listening to my
voice email message?
The recipient needs to have a MobiVoice device to listen to your messages
on their BlackBerry or they can listen to your voice email on a PC (free
software download).
Are voice emails secure from public ears?
Voice email is sent identical to regular emails and they are compressed as
well, so it is a secure form of transmission.
Can voice messages be converted to text?
MobiVoice allows the user to dictate and then email voice files, which can
then be transcribed, but it does not have a voice to text conversion
software (voice recognition) integrated into it.
What are the countries in which FM Radio can be
played back?
MobiVoice currently supports FM Radio in Canada, United States and Europe.
