BlackBerry Web Client

BlackBerry Web Client allows you to access multiple existing email accounts from a single BlackBerry handheld. It is an internet-based email interface that can retrieve email from up to 10 ISP or other email accounts. The web client redirects email wirelessly to your BlackBerry handheld so you can send, receive, forward and reply to messages while you're on the go.

In addition, a default web mail account is provided with each BlackBerry handheld. This new email address (ex. yourname@carrier.blackberry.net) acts as the default email address and login for the BlackBerry Web Client. You won't require additional software to begin using your BlackBerry handheld and it's easy to set up your web client account.

BlackBerry Web Client facilitates the following email integration options:

bulletIntegration with a new handheld email account
bulletIntegration with an ISP email account

Compare the key features of the three integration options.

How BlackBerry Web Client Works

BlackBerry Web Client pulls email from your ISP account or other email accounts that support POP3 into your web client inbox. Any messages sent to your new handheld email address will also be delivered to the inbox of your web client account. The BlackBerry Web Client then acts as an email redirector, pushing email to your BlackBerry handheld. You can limit the number of messages you receive on the BlackBerry handheld by setting filters that monitor key words and message fields.

Messages sent from your handheld will be sent from your new handheld email account address. However, you can configure the 'Sent from' email address to be your regular email address so messages sent from your handheld appear to originate from your primary email account.
